RE-ESTABLISHING THE DOBLE FUND

The BTCA Board voted to re-establish the Doble Fund at the October 2011 meeting. "Doble Money" will be available to regional clubs beginning in January of 2012. The awards are given to the White Dog and White Bitch that wins the American Bred Class at a Specialty or Supported Show.

Each regional club can designate one show per year at which to give the Doble Award. The show-giving club must list the following in the premium list for the show:

American Bred Dog, 1st $25 cash offered in memory of
Dr. and Mrs. Howard Doble by the Bull Terrier Club of
America, Inc. as Trustee of the Norma Brooks Bequest
American Bred Bitch, 1st $25 cash offered in memory of
Dr. and Mrs. Howard Doble by the Bull Terrier Club of
America, Inc. as Trustee of the Norma Brooks Bequest

(For those clubs holding shows early in 2012 who were not able to list the award in the premium, please award the money prize outside of the ring.)

The BTCA will award the Doble prizes at all of its Specialties.

In order to streamline the process, we are asking the regional clubs to provide the money for the Doble awards. If the awards are won at your shows, please send a note to Gene Hains, BTCA treasurer asking for reimbursement. Gene's email address is gaidoune23@yahoo.com.

NEW PROVISIONAL JUDGES

Skip Greaney and Duff Harris, BTCA members and breeders have been recently been approved by the AKC to accept judging assignments. Contact information for the two gentlemen can be found in the AKC online Judges Directory and in the BTCA Membership list.
