CHF Mission Statement
Founded in 1995, The American Kennel Club Canine Health Foundation is
the largest non-profit funder of exclusively canine research in the world.
The foundation works to develop significant resources for basic and applied
health programs with emphasis on canine genetics to improve the quality
of life for dogs and their owners. The foundation funds research and supports
canine health scientists and professionals in their efforts to study the
causes and origins of canine disease and afflictions in order to formulate
effective treatments.
Bull Terrier Club of America Donor Advised Fund
The BTCA established a Donor Advised Fund in order to make restricted
contributions for specific health related purposes to the AKC Canine Health
Foundation. These contributions are restricted to a purpose established
by the either the donor or the BTCA.
Contributions may be restricted to health research that will advance the
health of Bull Terriers or to study a specific disease. These donations
to the CHF DAF are tax deductible.
