updated 12.12.2008

The Buckeye Bull Terrier Club has had an exciting fall ! Our annual picnic in the Columbus area was brought to an abrupt end when the remnants of one of the hurricanes hit the area. We all exited the park quickly and safely, but several members suffered damage to their homes as a result of high winds and fallen trees.

We have several members who are venturing into performance events with their Bull Terriers. A Rally demonstration was given at the annual picnic and was enjoyed by all! We are very proud of their accomplishments!

Fortunately, rescue has been a little slower this year. We have had five Bullies this year (as of 11/30/08) compared to fifteen last year. We continue to receive good quality applicants through the BTCA rescue website and are fortunate to have more qualified homes than we have dogs. We are glad to share any prospective homes with neighboring rescue groups-let us know if you have a need!

The Buckeye Bull Terrier Club wishes you all a very happy and healthy New Year!
Sincerely,
Rhoda Bennett, Secretary
