November also brought beautiful weather for Carnibully this year. The event was held on November 8th at Naomi Waynee’s new residence which has a wonderful BIG backyard with plenty of shade for dogs and people. The attendance this year was great. Many thanks to Phyllis Kilcullen assisted by Kathy and Brandi Strombeck for setting up the Raffle and auction; to Karen and Albert Santillan for the tremendous job in organizing the luncheon; and to Jeff Wilhelm and Albert Santillan for setting up the ring and obstacle course. An informal match was held with Scott Billeter judging and the winners were: Best White Puppy: “Mandie”, Best White Adult: “Hoot”; Best Opposite White Adult: “Sascha”; Best Colored Adult: “Clover”; Best Altered: “Jake”; Best Opposite Altered: “Emily” and Best Miniature Bull Terrier Adult: “Pegeen”. Fun Classes were held with “Sascha” winning the Obstacle Course in 22 seconds! Do we have a prospective Agility girl here? The Bull Terrier Wet Tee-Shirt contest honors also went to “Sascha”. The always entertaining Costume Contest (judged by Kathy Strombeck, David Billeter and Sandra Billeter) was won by “Beach Babe” (“Emily”), second place was awarded to “Foghorn Leghorn” (“Tess”) and third place was given to “Marge Simpson” (“Sascha”). Oldest Bully was captured by “Magnum” at 13 years, 10-½ months. He was closely challenged by “Tess” who was 13 years and seven months. It is truly wonderful to see these oldsters out enjoying their day! Special guest for the day was “Daisy”, one of our rescues. She is an adorable, small, sweetheart of a girl and we are happy to announce she has since found her forever home! We also were notified that Kool-Aid has found his forever home. Sadly, we were informed that Brandi’s mother, Kathy Strombeck suffered a stroke the evening after Carnibully. We send heartfelt wishes for a speedy recovery. The Annual Christmas Party was held at the home of Jack and Connie Fox on December 6th. Tons of luscious food was prepared by members and no one went away hungry! Beth McDonald’s Gingerbread Bullies were a great hit! Yummy, but almost too cute to eat! Thanks once again to the Santillans and Beth McDonald for organizing the meal. Kudos to Phyllis Kilcullen and Brandi Strombeck for organizing the raffle. The usual FUN gift exchange was held with many coveted presents. Once Joe Gracia finally finished the story and gifts were opened, the crazy dice game started. Two presents, the handmade blanket from Karen Wilhelm and the Bully Photo Clock from Naomi Waynee seemed to be the “hot tickets” and were “taken” several times before the clock stopped. The BTCCA would like to wish everyone “Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!” Naomi
